SLC Parent Child Sensory Motor Group will
focus on promoting developmental skills using
sensory experiences: touch, smell, sound,
movement, in conjunction with a motor
(fine/gross) component to encourage body
awareness, strength, muscle tone, grasping
and visual motor integration. Activities, books,
games, and the classroom are set up so that
parents will learn how to support and use
objects and toys in their own homes to assist
movement, sensory integration and learning
with their child.
The class consists of whole body warm up
activity, obstacle courses, tactile stations,
structured movement/balance stations, fine
motor table activity, cool down group activity,
and so much more.
The Parent Child Play group lasts a minimum
of an hour, but please plan on being there up to
1 ½ hours as the length of group will vary
according to the pace of the group, number of
children and the activities planned.
